Sunny in Seattle

We have had a gorgeous day here - warmest day of the year! We didn't hit 60, but it sure felt warm. Warm enough to open up the windows and air out the house a bit, mow the lawn, and walk to the park sans jacket.

Ian and Leah had a nice time running around, making noise, and swinging on the swings.

Right before we left it was time for some quick pictures.

They are not in the hugging mood now, so I'll take these when I can...

Have a wonderful day everybody. Cheers!

Oops, it happened again!

So after lunch today, the sun was shining again. The kids asked to walk to the playground, which I happily did. You can see that the sun was indeed out and quite visible:

Catherine called from Olympia telling me it was hailing there. There were some clouds in the distance, but the kids were having fun so I decided to gamble.

I lost.

It was raining/hailing within about 5-10 minutes.

At least it was just little, itty-bitty, teensy-weensy hail that the kids loved walking through. Literally as my feet were headed up our driveway to the front door, it stopped! The kids had some hot chocolate, I had some espresso, so all is well with the world.

Have a wonderful day everybody, and grab your umbrellas!

Nice day for a walk

Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody. We've been having a cool and wet spring here in the Pacific Northwest. But the sun came out today (one of my neighbors mowed his lawn!) so I packed up the kids and we went for a nice walk.

We went in the opposite direction of what we normally do, because I've driven past this water/gas/oil tanker a time or two and wanted to go see it. So we did. Unfortunately it rained on us, but just a tiny bit, not enough to get wet even. But it did cut short the walk.

Have a wonderful day everybody,

Marc

Inspired by Shrek

Leah loves her kitty eyes, just like Puss-In-Boots from Shrek. So I figured I'd play around in photoshop to achieve something similar, which she loves!

Enjoy,

My beautiful family

It's hard to follow up from the natural beauty of the waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge. But I found a way...

Nothing terribly new here, which is why neither Catherine nor I have posted here in a month. We all have had haircuts in the past couple of weeks - with Catherine, Ian, and I all getting ours today.

Leah and her kitty eyes...

I'm halfway through my last semester of my Doctor of Physical Therapy program - which means I'm 3/4 of the way done. I'm looking forward to completing this and getting back to more free time!

Have a wonderful day everybody, we sure did.
