Let's Go See DORA!!!

So the kids were all excited last week to go see Dora the Explorer that they had visiting one of our other nearby bases.  Turns out that Dora wasn't able to make it but instead they had Dora's cousin "Nora" and Barney there.  Leah was afraid of Barney & Nora, so

Here's a picture of Ian shaking her hand:

Ian also was chosen to pick the winner of the $25 gift card giveaway (no, I didn't win).  The kids had fun doing crafts, running in a blow up maze castle thing they had there, bouncing in the bouncy house, and they each got some goodies out of the Pinata they had there.  All in all both kids slept REALLY well that night! :)

Here's a shot of them coloring & Leah is wearing her princess crown that was one of the other crafts.

A Quick Trip to Idar Oberstein

Hope everyone is doing well & those of you who are Mothers had a Happy Mother's Day!!

The kids & I had Flat Stanley visit us a couple of weeks ago, so we took a little trip to Idar Oberstein to get a couple of Pictures over there.

Here's one of the kids in front of the Church in the Rock with Stanley:

The kids also wanted to take a few minutes to play on the equipment along the main street there:

They ran around the fountain a couple of times, and then sat and posed for a quick picture:

Finally the view from the top of the town taken from the overlook by the Church:

It's a nice little picturesque German town.  It turned out we got lucky and had a very nice Spring day to go visit over there.

Let's see if I get another post done today.  I feel like I took some pictures somewhere else, but I have to find them...

Say Monkey!

I think Marc has shared enough matching Christmas PJ pictures with everyone to know that I do like to put the kids in matching pj's from time to time.  Well, I saw these monkey pj's & knew that I had to get both the girl & boy ones for the kids to wear this summer.  They think it's kind of fun, so I guess Marc & I can use these pictures against them when they get older. :)
Enjoy!

The Puppet Show...

Who knew that a cheesey little German Puppet show could make the kids stay quiet for 15 minutes?!?  They were extremely excited to go & the show was in English.  Ian kept looking back & pointing to things so I semi-staged this pic so the flash could go off.  He was very happy, Leah wasn't moving she was happy & mesmerized by this show.

Yes, unmoving, quite kids!!

A very happy Ian...

After the show they had a Fairy Tale Village where the kids could do some crafts & Leah mad the bracelet she is wearing in the following picture & the kids jumped in the bouncy house.  They also had fruit out that made a nice afternoon snack.

Leah chose the banana.

Ian chose the apple.

Hope things are going well with all of you!

Easter is here!

Horray!  I found my camera.  Turns out it was in the bag with the extra Easter eggs, go figure.

So, here's a picture of the kids before they are going out to hunt for eggs at the Church easter hunt:

Ian's basket starting to fill up a little:

Leah found one to put in her basket:

Here is the one at the second Easter hunt we did on that day.  Ian got a hug from the bunny himself:

So, that's all for this time.  I do have a couple of birthday party pictures to post in the next day or two.  We have another birthday party to go to tomorrow, so I may just post all of those at the same time.

Easter is Coming!

Well, soon to our blog anyways.  I took LOTS of pictures this weekend & even got a good one of Ian with the Easter Bunny (Leah got shy).  Why aren't the up yet?  Well, I've managed to lose my camera.  So, I'll get them posted as soon as I find it.

Hope everyone had a Blessed Holiday!

P.S.  I'm working on updating the look of our blog.  We're working on adding one of the pictures Marc took in Scotland with our blog designer, but I've done something wrong.  So, excuse the mess & I'll hopefully get it fixed soon!

The last few pictures...

Read my post on Spring first so you'll understand the rest of these pictures.

Apparently blogger will only let me put 5 pictures in each post, so that's how we wound up with 3 posts today.  Hope everyone Enjoys the pictures as much as the kids enjoyed swinging & playing while I was trying to get the shots of them!
